5th Annual Barber Vintage Festival Birmingham, AL Oct. 9-11, 2009
Held at the Barber Motorsports Park, if you're into vintage motorcycle racing, you won't want to miss this! As quoted on their site, "To add to the "fun" of the festival, participants and visitors are encouraged to dress in "period attire"." Rating = 2

Mountains, Music & Motorcycles. Mountain View, AR.
Aug. 21-23, 2009
As quoted from their advertisement, "This is a one of a kind event for Mountain View. With biker games, a poker run and a bike show. There is something for the biker in everyone. Prizes, Games, Music and Good Food for the whole family." Since they don't have a dedicated website for the event, you can call (870)-269-8068 for more information. Sounds like fun!! Rating = 2

Fourth Annual Motorcycle Expo Plymouth,CA. June 5-6, 2009
You'll find a motorcycle demo derby, camping and much more. This is also the event where the "Women in Motorcycling - Lifetime Achievement Awards" were held. Rating = 2

Hollister Motorcycle Rally Hollister, CA.
THE CITY COUNCIL HAS DECIDED NOT TO SANCTION THE 2009 HOLLISTER MOTORCYCLE RALLY. THERE WILL BE NO MOTORCYCLE ACTIVITY IN 2009.

AMA International Women & Motorcycling Conference Keystone, CO.
Aug. 19-22, 2009
This event will be held at the Keystone Resort & Conference Center this year and celebrates women and motorcycling! Beautiful scenery, tours, seminars, hands-on action center, street party including bike show, market place, and more! Register and make housing arrangements online.

Bike Week Daytona Beach, FL. Feb. 27 - March 8, 2009
A 10-day festival that is promoted as the World's Largest Motorcycle Event. Plan ahead for a place to stay because the hotels fill up fast and they are pricey for a good location. Biketoberfest Daytona Beach, FL. Oct. 15-18, 2009
This is an international award-winning motorcycle festival that is full of fun and entertainment. Check out their website for pictures and videos of last year's event! Thousands of riders swarm this area to see and be seen. You'll want to come back to this festival again and again! Rating = 4

Peoria Ride for the Cure Peoria, IL. May 16, 2009
This ride benefits the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer research. They took the cue from all who attended last year and finally got their own website! Return to the Wall Joliet, IL. to Marseilles, IL. June 20, 2009
The donations for this run help pay the cost of adding names of our fallen heroes on the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial and assist veterans and their families. 2008's run was in honor of the POW-MIA. You can view a video of the 2008 ceremony on their website. Donations can also be made there.

Central Illinois ABATE Annual Charity Bash Knox County Fair Grounds, Knoxville, IL. Mid-August
Bring your tent or camper and enjoy! Although the numbers for 2008's crowd was disappointing, you can usually find a great mix of people coming together for good times and a great cause. It gets a bit rowdy in the evening but it's a respectful group of people. Of course you'll want to put the kids to bed before the "wet t-shirt" competition starts! Rating = 1

Hog Wild Rodeo Conesville, IA. May 14-16, 2009
As always, the Circle of Pride MC is hosting one of the craziest motorcycle events ever! Weird contests, 1/8 mile Harley only drag strip, bands, camping and lots and lots of nudity. You'll go home speechless. And if you didn't get enough at this event, you can press your luck by attending their July 4th event or their Thunder in the Sand rally held September 3-6, 2009. Rating = 5

28th Annual SEMO Run What Ya Brung Field Events and Rally Lesterville, MO. May 16-17, 2009
This is the 28th year for the SEMO motorcycle events. Two full days of field contests, live music, food and good times! Located near Taum Sauk mountain, it is some of the best riding in southern Missouri! Rating = 4

Las Vegas All-American Motorcycle Swap Meet "outside of" Las Vegas, NV. April 10, 2009

Street Vibrations Reno, NV. Sept. 23-27, 2009
"Tunes, Tricks and Tons of Chrome" is the slogan that leads off their website! To quote from their page, (because I couldn't say it better), "Street Vibrations Motorcycle Festival is a celebration of music, metal and motorcycles." There will be a tattoo contest, custom bike builders, fabulous rides, and much, much more! A portion of the proceeds benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Association. Las Vegas Bikefest Las Vegas, NV. Oct. 1-4, 2009
This is the home of the "Artistry in Iron - Master Builder's Championship". I'm sure some of you have seen many of the builders at other motorcycle events, on TV before or maybe you own some of their products or parts! But that is just a portion of what this rally has to offer! Music, vendors and of course, Las Vegas!! Visit their site often for info on hotels and admission. Book early! Rating = 4

Laconia Motorcycle Week Laconia, NH. June 13-21, 2009
A great group of people and a hell of a lot of fun. If you don't like crowds, this isn't for you! But if you like to mix it up, this is an awesome party. Bikers nationwide of all types come to this rally for food, fun and music. Explore Weirs Beach and don't forget to try the lobster! Rating = 4

2nd Annual Rally at the River Salisbury, NC. May 28-31, 2009
Hosted at the Tamarac Marina, enjoy the ride and the rally! There will be bands, a bike show, vendors and camping is available. Visit the site to get all the details. Rating = 3

22nd Annual North Dakota Ladies Motorcycle Run Lemmon, SD. (almost in ND!) July 17-19, 2009
Advertised as the longest running "women only" motorcycle rally in North America. For hotel information and registration, check out their website. Go ladies! Rating = 2

Ohio Bike Week Sandusky, OH. June 5-14, 2009
10 days packed full of entertainment on the shores of Lake Erie. 100 free bands, vendors, all Harley Drags, motorcycle demo derby, flat track and motorcross races and more! Get event details and ticket information at their website! Rating = 4

12th Annual Johnstown Thunder in the Valley Johnstown, PA. June 25-28, 2009
Everything you could want in a rally! Rides and runs, vendors, food, stunt shows, burn out pit, demos and the Beaverdale Hillclimb. One of the best motorcycle events out there! Rating = 4

Myrtle Beach Bike Week Myrtle Beach, SC. May 8-17, 2009
All bikers and motorcycles are welcome at this event and there is always something to do! Just be warned that the traffic can be difficult here especially for the novice rider. Bike builders show off their stuff and the people really have a great time. You are requested to watch the noise levels here so no burn-outs in front of the cops! Plan ahead, hotels and lodging fill up fast! This is one of the biggest motorcycle events in the nation! Rating = 4

Myrtle Beach Fall Rally Myrtle Beach, SC. Sept. 30 - Oct. 4, 2009
The smaller of the two rallies in Myrtle Beach from this promotion company, still has a rockin' time! If you want the experience of going to Myrtle Beach but don't want all the crowds and traffic of the May Bike Week, this is the motorcycle event for you. Rating = 3

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Sturgis, SD. August 3-9, 2009
If you go to one event in your life, this is the one to go to! It is one of the biggest if not the biggest motorcycle events in the country. If you plan on riding to the event, the scenery is beautiful but it is not for the intimidated rider. Trailer your bike if you need to and unload it when you get there. Don't worry, you'll have plenty of time to cruise around and see the sites. Save your pennies too as this is not a cheap adventure but worth it! Rating = 4

The 37th BMW MOA 2009 International Rally Johnson City, TN. July 16-19, 2009
If you're part of the BMW motorcycle Members of America, then this is your rally! You'll find demos, raffles, food, seminars and more. You can register online on their website after April 1st. www.bmwmoa.org

Honda Hoot
AMERICAN HONDA ANNOUNCED THAT 2008 WAS THE LAST OF THE HONDA HOOT RALLIES. 2009 WILL NOT BE HELD DUE TO THE CURRENT ECONOMIC CRUNCH.

6th Annual South Texas Motorcycle Show San Antonio, TX. March 20-22, 2009
Held at the Freeman Coliseum, this is Texas' biggest indoor motorcycle marketing event. You can meet vendors, enter in a bike show, and visit the Super Swap Meet on Sunday. Best part is that Friday is "Ladies' Day" with a discount on admission! See all the details at their website and have fun! Rating = 2

Women on Wheels Motorcycle Organization 23rd Annual International Ride In Kerrville, TX. July 7-9 2009

CHICK'S RUN HAS COME TO AN END. 2008 WAS THE LAST YEAR FOR THE EVENT.

International Female Ride Day May 1st, 2009
This event is for building female rider awareness and encouraging other women to take up the activity. It celebrates female riders and demonstrates their love of motorcycle riding. This is the 3rd year for the event. Please see the website for more information.

18th Annual Ride to Work Day May 3rd, 2009
Show your co-workers and the rest of the daily commuters what you're made of! Not only are you helping the environment, you're also drawing more attention to motorcyclist on the road!
